  Discrete nonperiodic splines on a uniform grid

[Abstract]
  The fundamental properties of discrete nonperiodic
  splines on a uniform grid are investigated.
  The criterion of unambiguous resolvability of a
  discrete spline-interpolation problem for irregular
  data, analogous to Schoenberg-Whitney criterion,
  is established.
