Санкт-Петербургское математическое общество и некотрые его члены
получают много писем из университетов различных
стран с просьбой распространить информацию об аспирантских и
постдоковских (для закончивших аспирантуру) местах для
молодых математиков, окончивщих Петербургский университет
и его аспирантуру. Мы знакомим интересующихся с
этой информацией, однако это
не следует воспринимать как рекомендацию к принятию тех
или иных решений.
Our Society and some of its members receive many requests from
foreign universities to distribute the information about graduate student and
postdoc positions for young mathematicians in St. Petersburg. We decided to place such
information keeping neutral attitude to its contents.

The University of Ballarat (UB) has recently received significant new funding from the Australian
Government under the Collaborative Research Networks (CRN) program
which allow us to employ 12 Postdoctoral Fellows and Research Fellows
initially for three years to work on jointly supervised projects within the CRN Elements.
At least 6 will be hired for Optimization related projects in Element 1.
